What determines ones social standing, is it the wealth, education or occupation? If a person is well educated but does not hold down a so called "prestigious" job, must they be placed in to a lower social class? It would seem that people are taught the idea of social classes at a young age. They are taught how to live in their specific class and how to react to different ones. Then there is the issue of poverty. To grow up living in that certain manner, that is all one would understand and know. Most people in poverty have grown up in it, so they do not know how to get themselves out. Different social classes have specific things that only people in that class would have knowledge of. Is this what creates the difference in the homeless person and the grown adult who works at even a lower end job? Perhaps the person living on the streets does not know how to find a job and keep one, or it is just the fact that they cannot find a job available. In the lowest class, it may be possible that they do not know how to have a job if they had grown up seeing their parents living in this type of lifestyle. When will there be an end to all of this? Though, of course, there are always people who rise above poverty and create a better life for themselves and their family for generations stopping this cycle.
